Fees & Payment
My rate is $150 for a 53-minute individual therapy session.
I currently accept Aetna, Cigna, and United Healthcare insurances through Headway, which handles insurance billing and claims on my behalf. If I am out-of-network with your insurance plan, I’m happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance carrier for potential reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. I also accept HSA and FSA cards.
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, will incur a $50 cancellation fee.
If you choose to use insurance, it’s important to know that insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis in order to cover psychotherapy sessions. That diagnosis becomes a part of your medical record, and insurance companies may request access to treatment information to determine medical necessity or authorize continued care. While many people are comfortable using their insurance benefits, others choose to pay privately to keep their mental health information outside the insurance system. I’m happy to answer any questions so you can decide what is right for you.
I never want finances to be the reason someone doesn’t receive support. If therapy feels financially out of reach, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m happy to provide referrals to low-cost community resources and therapists who offer sliding scale fees.
